CALL FOR PAPERS - ANGE26 Workshop --------------------------------------------------------- 1th edition of the International Workshop on Architecting Next-Generation of Ecosystems (ANGE) Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands (co-located with ICSA 2026) Dates: June 22 – June 26, 2026 (exact workshop dates to be decided) Workshop website: https://icsaworkshop.github.io/ange-2026/ --------------------------------------------------------- IMPORTANT DATES --------------------------------------------------------- Paper submission: February 13th, 2026 Notification to authors: March 13th, 2026 Camera ready: March 27th, 2026 --------------------------------------------------------- SCOPE --------------------------------------------------------- As smart ecosystems like smart cities evolve, software systems are becoming highly interconnected, posing new architectural challenges amplified by emerging technologies such as GenAI and quantum computing. ANGE aims to advance principles, methods, and practices for architecting these next-generation ecosystems, with emphasis on AI-driven approaches, self-adaptation, explainability, sustainability, and trustworthiness. --------------------------------------------------------- TOPICS OF INTEREST --------------------------------------------------------- The workshop will cover topics including, but not limited to: * Architecting with AI and Generative AI for ecosystem engineering * Patterns and tactics for self-adaptive and autonomous systems * Sustainability and evolvability as first-class architectural concerns * Continuous architecting and DevOps-inspired paradigms * Architectural designs for cloud-native, edge, and hybrid platforms * Architectural approaches to observability, explainability, and transparency * Automated methods for architectural analysis, validation, and evolution * Case studies and technology transfer in architecting ecosystems --------------------------------------------------------- FORMAT --------------------------------------------------------- The workshop will adopt a Liberating Structures format to foster active participation, creativity, and shared discussions. The day will include important speakers brief keynotes, short paper presentations, and collaborative group activities designed to synthesize diverse perspectives. --------------------------------------------------------- SUBMISSION DETAILS --------------------------------------------------------- - Full papers (up to 10 pages) - Short papers (up to 6 pages) A best paper award will be granted, and selected papers will be invited to a special journal issue. --------------------------------------------------------- ORGANIZERS --------------------------------------------------------- Alessandra Somma, Università degli studi di Napoli Federico II, Napoli (Italy) Arianna Fedeli, Gran Sasso Science Institute, L'Aquila (Italy) Alessio Bucaioni , Mälardalen University, Västerås (Sweden) --------------------------------------------------------- STEERING COMMITTEE --------------------------------------------------------- Rick Kazman, University of Hawaii (U.S.) Patricia Lago, Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (Netherlands) Mauro Pezzè, Università della Svizzera Italiana (Switzerland) |
