****************************************************************************************
CFP - Apologies for cross posting **************************************************************************************** Why should you submit to (and participate in) the 25th International Symposium on Intelligent Data Analysis? * IDA accepts all inspiring papers for both presentation and publication * IDA promotes ideas over performance * IDA symposia are intentionally small-scale and single-track to create an open atmosphere that encourages discussion Furthermore, IDA’s programme includes: * Exciting invited talks from research institutes from all over the world. * A dedicated PhD Poster track, where PhD students can meet and exchange ideas. * A mentoring program connecting PhD students with senior scientists who offer their experience to help boost PhD students’ research and academic careers. TOPICS OF INTEREST Topics of interest include, but are not limited to: - Foundations and Novel Paradigms of Intelligent Data Analysis - Machine Learning, Data Mining, and Pattern Recognition - Statistical Methods for Data Analysis - Representation Learning and Knowledge Discovery - Causal Discovery, Inference, and Reasoning - Explainable, Interpretable, and Trustworthy AI - Generative AI and Foundation Models for Data Analysis - Human-Centric and Social Data Analysis - Information Visualization and Visual Analytics - Graph, Network, and Relational Data Analysis - Temporal, Spatial, and Multimodal Data Analysis - Distributed, Decentralized, and Privacy-Preserving Data Analysis - AI for Scientific Discovery, Evaluation, and Methodological Innovation In line with IDA’s “ideas over performance” philosophy, we particularly welcome contributions that introduce unconventional perspectives, challenge established assumptions, reveal unexpected insights, or open new research directions, even when they do not demonstrate state-of-the-art predictive performance. We solicit full papers, which will be peer-reviewed, following criteria that emphasize novelty and relevance over other factors. IDA's small-scale, single-track format encourages the exchange of ideas and fosters meaningful interactions among participants. Designed as an in-person conference, IDA provides an environment that promotes direct exchange, discussion, and networking. IDA welcomes students still pursuing their university education and senior scientists alike, because we believe that combining fresh perspectives with experience leads to exciting new insights and research ideas. To further encourage the exchange of innovative ideas, IDA's schedule leaves plenty of time for questions and in-depth discussions inspired by the research presented by participants. PUBLICATION OPPORTUNITIES Accepted regular papers will be published on LNCS (Springer Lecture Notes in Computer Science). SUBMISSION DETAILS Type of contributions of interest: - Regular papers (up to 12 pages) introduce unconventional perspectives, challenge established assumptions, reveal unexpected insights, or open new research directions, even when they do not demonstrate state-of-the-art predictive performance. - PhD Forum papers (2 pages) describing the problem, the goal and research questions, the planned approach and methods, and the expected results. Online submission: Electronic submissions will be handled via Microsoft CMT: https://cmt3.research.microsoft.com/IDA2027 Review format: All submitted papers will be peer reviewed using single blind peer review. IMPORTANT DATES - Abstract Submission Deadline: November 28, 2026 - Regular Paper Submission: December 5, 2026 - Regular Paper Acceptance Notification: January 22, 2027 - Camera-ready submission: February 1, 2027 - PhD Forum Submission: February 12, 2027 - PhD Forum Acceptance Notification: March 2, 2027 - Symposium: April 21-23, 2027 All deadlines are at the end of the day specified, anywhere on Earth (UTC-12).
