The Special Session on Healthcare decision support systems modelling and development will be held within the 16th International Joint Conference on Biomedical Engineering Systems and Technologies - BIOSTEC 2023

SCOPE
A healthcare decision making support system intends to assist clinicians in improving healthcare delivery and outcomes. These systems are predominantly used to combine the patient data and information or suggestions for the clinician, using electronic health records, personal health records and interoperability.
This special session aims to bring together clinicians and informatics researchers from academia and industry to obtain an insight into the current state of the the health decision support systems and to discuss the challenges, approaches, development and future directions of health-related workflows and how using technologies such as Clinical Quality Language, ISO standards and personal health records could improve and support the healthcare decision making.
