# DLT 2026 — The 30th International Conference on Developments in Language Theory

- **Dates:** 30 June – 3 July 2026
- **Venue:** Rouen, France (co-located with NCMA 2026)
- **Website:** TBA

## Overview

The Developments in Language Theory (DLT) conference series brings together researchers working on formal languages, automata theory, and related areas. DLT welcomes theoretical and applied contributions that advance our understanding of languages, models of computation, and their applications. Proceedings are traditionally published in the Springer LNCS series.

## Topics (non-exhaustive)

- grammars, acceptors, and transducers for words, trees, and graphs
- algebraic theories of automata
- algorithmic, combinatorial, and algebraic properties of words and languages
- relations between formal languages and artificial neural networks
- variable length codes
- symbolic dynamics
- cellular automata
- groups and semigroups generated by automata
- polyominoes and multidimensional patterns
- decidability questions
- image manipulation and compression
- efficient text algorithms
- relationships to cryptography, concurrency, complexity theory, and logic
- bio-inspired computing
- quantum computing

## Program

DLT will feature regular paper presentations and invited talks (expected 4–6; **TBA**).

## Submission & Review

* Submission platform: **TBA** (EasyChair)
* Paper formats and length: **TBA** (typical DLT practice: LNCS template for full papers)
* Submission types: full papers — details **TBA**
* Review process: Each submission will be evaluated by two or three program committee reviewers. Reviews will be non-blind (reviewers will be aware of the authors' identities). Final acceptance decisions will be based on reviewer reports and program committee discussion.

## Important dates

- All submission and notification deadlines: **TBA**
