CALL FOR PAPERS
IIAS - 2020

Special Focus Symposium on
ADVANCES IN ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE

Chaired by
Professor Markus Klose, Proventus Institute LLC, USA & New Zealand & IIAS, Canada
Professor Suzan Sariefe, NZ Academic Services Ltd, New Zealand & IIAS, Canada

The Special Symposium on Advances in Artificial Intelligence will be part of the 40th Anniversary Meeting of the International Institute for Advanced Studies in Systems Research and Cybernetics, to be held August 3 - 7, 2020 in conjunction with the 32nd International Conference on Systems Research, Informatics and Cybernetics, in Baden-Baden, Germany.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a major shaper and driver of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and has profound impacts on homes, workplaces and public spaces, and how we conduct business.

AI has begun to change manufacturing, healthcare, logistics and warehousing, transport and mobility. It holds the promise to solve some of global society’s most pressing issues, but also presents challenges such as unethical use of data and potential mass unemployment in certain sectors.

We invite practitioners and researchers from both the public and private sectors to discuss and present ideas in a multi-disciplinary Special Symposium on Advances in Artificial Intelligence.

Submissions to the Special Symposium may address any aspects of one or more of the following areas:

• Global Issues and Challenges in the Governance of Artificial Intelligence
• Exploration of Ethical Issues concerning Artificial Intelligence
• The Future of Work and the Workplace
• Impact of Artificial Intelligence on the Digital Economy and New Value Creation
• Applied Artificial Intelligence in Advanced Manufacturing and Production
• Impacts on Financial, Economic and Monetary Systems
• The Future of Cybersecurity and Digital Trust
• Artificial Intelligence’s Influence on Shaping Consumption
• Impacts of Artificial Intelligence on Health and Healthcare
• Issues of Privacy and the Impact of AI-enabled Consumer Products
• Impact of Artificial Intelligence on Mobility

The Paper Submission Guidelines, the Copyright Transfer Form and the Conference Registration Forms are available at the Home Page of the IIAS at: http://www.iias.edu
