Session description:
Natural and man-made disasters around the world have provided frequent reminders that we live in an unpredictable and changing world. They entail serious disruptions when thousands of people are affected or killed and the infrastructure is heavily damaged. Thus, the development and implementation of the operation research tools and methods are of high importance for planning the effective responses to disasters.
The goal of this special session is to discuss and reveal the up-to-date applications of OR/MStools and methods used in Emergency management domain.
