Internet of Thing is internet based computing and recognition that allows clients to gain access to
shared devices, software, and information from servers on the world network. While, Healthcare
informatics technology describes the use of computer information systems to manage the
patients’ electronic health records based on traditional electronic health record. Accordingly, the
term of Interment of Medical Thing (IoMT) means the collection of medical devices and
applications that connect to healthcare informatics systems through the Internet. The advent of
IoMT technology provides effective and dependable results to support healthcare services and it
reduces cost for consumers by improving clinical and service quality for patients. Also, it allows
medical centers to function more competently and patients to obtain better treatment. In this
workshop, we are going to discuss the potential role of the IoT technology in healthcare
informatics. Moreover, this chapter presents the global challenges and methodological difficulties
facing this new technology such as increasing amount of patient data, more computing power
and software compatibility.
