Rapid urbanization, ever growing population, desire for higher standards for living and industrialisation have increased in volumes of waste water and consequently, there is an increased demand of potable water. Waste water treatment is one of the best ways to fight harmful impacts of the discharge by several industries and municipal corporations. The main objective of waste water treatment is to allow effluent to be disposed without danger to human health, unacceptable damage to ecology of receiving water bodies and thus protecting water resources.
