You are cordially invited to submit a proposal for a pre-conference workshop on January 30, 2011 and/or a conference concurrent session presentation on January 30 or January 31, 2011. Workshops and presentations should represent the best contemporary thinking regarding legal issues facing community college faculty, staff, and legal counsel. The conference planning committee is seeking submissions from a diverse range of scholars, practitioners, managers, directors, administrators, legal counsel, and consultants.

Conference Goal
To increase the knowledge, expertise, and confidence of community college front-line workers and managers as they face the unique legal challenges that arise in their work settings.

Pre-conference Workshops: 150 minutes (including a break) Pre-conference workshops offer in-depth coverage of a specific legal issue relevant to community colleges. Workshop rooms will be set classroom style. Pre-conference workshops are designed to augment the conference program and allow participants an opportunity to explore current trends within key topics.

Concurrent Sessions: 75 minutes
Concurrent sessions provide the foundation of the educational content at the conference. Each of the concurrent sessions will feature five breakout sessions. These sessions will be 75 minutes in length and scheduled over two days of the conference.
