Submission site is open at https://cmt3.research.microsoft.com/EDBT2024 Deadline of 2nd-round research paper submission: June 1, 2023 (AoE) ***************************************************************************** EDBT/ICDT 2024 Joint Conference 25th March - 28th March, 2024 Paestum, Italy https://dastlab.github.io/edbticdt2024/ EDBT 2024 Research Track Call for Papers The annual International Conference on Extending Database Technology (EDBT) is a leading international forum for researchers, developers, and users to present and discuss cutting-edge ideas, and to exchange techniques, tools and experiences related to data management. The conference invites submissions of original research contributions related to all aspects of data management. We particularly encourage submissions that focus on the following themes: - the design and use of novel data science systems; - synergies between database theory and database systems; - synergies between data management and HCI; - synergies between data management and machine learning; and - ethical, social and legal issues of database technology. Paper Types In addition to research papers (long and short), the conference invites submissions to the Experiments & Analysis and Vision tracks. All papers are reviewed by the EDBT program committee. Formatting and Submission Guidelines All submissions are electronic via CMT: https://cmt3.research.microsoft.com/EDBT2024. Papers should be formatted according to the latest ACM Proceedings Format without any change in terms of fonts, margins, inter-column spacing, style, footers, and so on. All manuscripts should be formatted according to the double-column ACM SIG conference proceedings format. - The authors who are in need of a LaTeX/Word template can refer to the following link: https://www.acm.org/publications/proceedings-template - Overleaf authors can refer to the following link: https://www.overleaf.com/latex/templates/association-for-computing-machinery-acm-sig-proceedings-template/bmvfhcdnxfty Regular research papers and Experiments & Analysis papers should be at most 12 pages long, with additional unlimited pages for references. Short research papers and Vision papers should be at most 6 pages long, with additional unlimited pages for references. EDBT uses single-blind reviewing, which means that the authors should list their names and affiliations as part of their submission. Artifact Availability Authors are strongly encouraged to submit supplemental material, such as code, data, and other implementation artifacts used to produce the results reported in the paper. Reviewers will have access to the supplemental material and consider it in their evaluation of the scientific quality of the contribution. Authors can submit (a) a single zip file as supplemental material or (b) include a link to the supplemental material (e.g., a link to a github repository). Inclusion and Diversity in Writing and Presentation Authors are strongly encouraged to be inclusive in writing and presentation of their work. Please visit the subsection "D&I materials" at https://dbdni.github.io/ for details. Important dates EDBT 2024 has three annual research paper submission cycles. Each cycle includes an author feedback phase, and an opportunity to submit a revision if the paper receives a 'revise' decision upon the first round of reviews. Papers accepted during all three submissions cycles will be presented at EDBT2024. Currently the second-round submission is open at CMT: https://cmt3.research.microsoft.com/EDBT2024 Research paper second submission round June 1, 2023 (AoE): Paper submission July 3-7, 2023 (AoE): Author feedback phase August 1, 2023 (AoE): Notification of accept/revise/reject September 1, 2023 (AoE): Revised paper submission September 29, 2023 (AoE): Notification of accept/reject for revised submission Research paper third submission round October 3, 2023 (AoE): Paper submission November 6-10, 2023 (AoE): Author feedback phase December 7, 2023 (AoE): Notification of accept/revise/reject January 8, 2024 (AoE): Revised paper submission January 31, 2024 (AoE): Notification of accept/reject for revised submission A list of specific topics of interest and other detailed information is provided at the conference web site: https://dastlab.github.io/edbticdt2024/?contents=EDBT_CFP.html | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
