Present CFP : 2025

Scope

The symposium serves as a forum for researchers in algorithms and theory of computation. We invite submissions presenting original research in these areas. Submissions in relevant applied areas also are welcome. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

Algorithmic game theory
Algorithms and data structures
Approximation algorithms
Combinatorial optimization
Computational biology
Computational complexity
Computational geometry
Cryptography
Experimental algorithms
Graph algorithms
Graph drawing
Internet algorithms
Online algorithms
Parallel and distributed algorithms
Quantum computing
Randomized algorithms
Streaming algorithms

Submission Guidelines

Authors are invited to submit an extended abstract or a full paper with an optional appendix. The submission should provide a scholarly exposition of ideas, techniques, and results, including motivation and a clear comparison with related work. Submissions must not be made simultaneously to another conference with refereed proceedings or to a journal. Drafts containing essentially the same results as submissions currently under review in other conferences or journals are not eligible for submission to ISAAC 2025. Workshops and conferences without formal proceedings, but possibly with handouts containing short abstracts, are exempt from this restriction. At least one author of each accepted paper is required to present the paper at the conference as a registered participant.

Submitted manuscripts must be formatted in LaTeX using the LIPIcs style file, available at https://www.dagstuhl.de/en/publications/lipics/instructions-for-authors/. The maximum length of the paper is 12 pages, excluding title page, references and the optional appendix. Use the LIPIcs style file as provided; do not adjust the margin size, or change the font.

Proofs omitted due to space constraints must be placed in an appendix, which reviewers may read at their discretion. Therefore, the main content of the paper, without the appendix, should be self-contained.

To reduce bias in the reviewing process, ISAAC 2025 will implement double-blind reviewing. As much as possible, submissions should not reveal the identity of the authors in any way; in particular, authors’ names, affiliations, and email addresses should not appear at the beginning or in the body of the submission. However, authors are encouraged to disseminate their ideas or draft versions of their papers as they normally would, such as making early drafts available on their personal webpages or on pre-print dissemination platforms like arXiv. Submissions from non-chair Program Committee (PC) members are permitted. When registering a submission, authors must declare conflicts of interest with PC members and provide a list of email addresses or domain-level conflicts (e.g., “Ho-Lin Chen (National Taiwan University),” “All (University of Sydney)”) to address other professional or personal conflicts. These conflicts include past advisors and students, individuals affiliated with the same institution, and any recent (≈ 2 years) or frequent coauthors and collaborators. If any author of a submission is a Program Committee member, this must be explicitly indicated during the submission process by selecting the appropriate checkbox.

Submissions are due by 23:59 AoE (Anywhere on Earth) on Monday, June 30, 2025. Only electronic submission via the HotCRP submission server https://isaac25.hotcrp.com/ will be allowed.

The above guidelines are strict; submissions that fail to adhere to the guidelines (e.g., by not providing the omitted proofs in an appendix, exceeding 12 pages, not following the LIPIcs format, or not adhering to the double-blind review rules) will be rejected without consideration of their academic merits.
Important Dates

Paper submission deadline: June 30, 2025 (AoE)
Notification of paper acceptance: August 30, 2025
Camera-ready version: September 14, 2025

Availability of Full Versions

Upon acceptance, if any details are omitted from the camera-ready version for the ISAAC proceedings, authors are encouraged to upload a full version of the accepted paper to a preprint server, allowing interested readers to access the full proofs omitted from the ISAAC proceedings. When referring to omitted proofs in the ISAAC proceedings, it is recommended to provide a citation to the accessible full version. However, uploading a full version remains optional.
Awards

The Best Paper and the Best Student Paper may be awarded. A paper is eligible for the Best Student Paper if all authors are students at the time of submission. To indicate that a submission is eligible, please mark the checkbox “Eligible for best student paper” in the web form on the submission server.
Code of Conduct

The open exchange of ideas and the freedom of thought and expression are central to the aims and goals of ISAAC. These require an environment that recognizes the inherent worth of every person and group, that fosters dignity, understanding, and mutual respect, and that embraces diversity. ISAAC is committed to providing an environment that is free of discrimination and harassment, and expects all participants to honor that commitment.

If you experience or witness discrimination, harassment or other unethical behavior at the conference, we encourage you to seek advice and remedy through one or more of the following options:

Consult with the SafeToC counselors of ISAAC.

Report to the conference chairs, the PC chairs or the Steering committee chair. The chairs are entitled to remove registered participants from the conference (without refunding the conference fees) if they are deemed to pose an ethical risk to other participants.
