Present CFP : 2024

We are delighted to invite you to contribute to the 15th International Conference on Software Business (ICSOB 2024), to be held in the beautiful city of Utrecht, Netherlands, on November 18-20, 2024. This conference aims to foster a vibrant community of researchers and practitioners to exchange ideas and findings on the rapidly evolving field of software business.

The theme for ICSOB 2024 revolves around the critical and timely topics of ethics, equity, and sustainability within the software business sector. In an era where digital transformation is ubiquitous, it’s imperative to consider the ethical implications and equitable practices, as they are intrinsically linked to the sustainability of software initiatives, vital to realizing social justice, human rights, and democracy. This conference will delve into these topics, offering a platform for discussing how they are shaping the future of software business.

We welcome both research and industry papers to the conference. The papers should be original and not submitted to or accepted by any other conference or journal. We are looking for original work describing novel approaches to Ethics, Equity, and Sustainability in Software Business. Submissions can be: (i) Full Research Papers (up to 15 pages) for detailed studies and analyses of novel approaches in the software business, (ii) Short Position and Practice Papers for industry insights, case studies, artifacts, and explorations of new areas. All accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings, part of the Springer Lecture Notes in Business Information Processing (LNBIP) series.

The topics that ICSOB welcomes, but not limited to, are listed below:
- Ethics in Software Product Management and Development
- Equity, Diversity and Inclusion in Software Ecosystems, Digital Services, Systems, and Digital Transformation
- Transparency and Trustability in Software Business
- Ethical Issues in Emerging Software Technologies (e.g., Blockchain, Generative AI, …)
- Emerging Technologies and Sustainability in Software Business
- Sustainable Practices in Software Ecosystems, Platforms, and Business Models

Paper Submission Categories:
- Full Research Papers (up to 15 pages)
- Short Position and Practice Papers (up to 6 pages)
- Posters and demos (up to 4 pages)

All accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings, part of the Springer Lecture Notes in Business Information Processing (LNBIP) series. The best papers submitted to ICSOB will be invited for a Q1 Journal special issue, with the theme Software and Society: Ethics, Equity, and Sustainability in Software.

We anticipate a range of networking events and keynote speeches from leading figures in the field, providing attendees with valuable insights and collaboration opportunities.
